Barack Hussein Obama was born in Honolulu (Hawaii) August 4, 1961. His biological parents are US-Kenyan Ann Dunham and Barack Obama who separated two years after his birth. Later his mother married an Indonesian, Lolo Soetoro.

Between 6 and 10 years Barack Obama attended in Jakarta, Indonesia. He then returned to Honolulu where he was raised by his maternal grandparents.

Studied law at Columbia University and Harvard Law School Law School, where he became president of the prestigious Harvard Law Review.

Jobs in Chicago some years as a community organizer. In this time he met Michelle LaVaughn Robinson, whom he married and has two daughters, Malia and Natasha.

In 1996 he managed to become deputy from Illinois and in 2004 reached a seat in the senate. He also served as Professor of Constitutional Law at Harvard University.

In 2007 launched his candidacy for the Democratic Party primary elections where after a bitter campaign to defeat the powerful Hillary Clinton.

In the presidential elections of November 4, 2008 defeated Republican John McCain, becoming the first black to reach the White House as President of the United States.
